This privacy policy describes how Fork Around & Find Out Kitchen ("we," "us," or "our") at https://fafokitchen.com collects, uses, and protects information when you visit the website or voluntarily subscribe for recipe and site updates.

Information We Collect

You do not need to create an account or provide personal information to browse FAFO Kitchen. When you use the site, information such as browser type, device type, pages viewed, and interaction data may be collected automatically through analytics, advertising, hosting, and security technologies.

Newsletter and Email Subscriptions

If you voluntarily submit your email address through the newsletter form, we collect the email address and the date and time of the subscription. The current subscription form stores that information so FAFO Kitchen can maintain the subscriber list and provide the recipe and site updates requested through the form.

Subscriber records are stored in protected server-side data storage that is not intended to be publicly accessible. The subscription request does not send the submitted email address to a third-party email marketing provider. If the newsletter system changes in a way that changes how subscriber information is processed, this policy will be updated to reflect that change.

Subscriber records remain in the subscriber list until they are removed. You may request removal of your email address through our contact page.

Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising

FAFO Kitchen uses Google Analytics to understand site traffic and usage. Google Analytics may use cookies and similar technologies and may process device, browser, network, and site-interaction information.

The site also includes Google AdSense advertising technology. Third-party vendors, including Google, may place or read cookies on your browser or use web beacons, IP addresses, or similar technologies in connection with advertising. Depending on your location, consent choices, and the type of ads being served, these technologies may be used to serve or measure personalized or non-personalized advertising.

The Analytics Settings control on FAFO Kitchen applies to Google Analytics and FAFO Kitchen’s anonymous first-party aggregate interaction counters used to improve recipe discovery and data-driven rankings. Those first-party counters do not store IP addresses, user-agent strings, email addresses, or account identifiers. Choosing Allow Analytics or Reject Analytics does not grant or deny consent for personalized advertising.

Google AdSense may present a separate advertising privacy or consent message based on your location and applicable requirements. For personalized advertising in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, Google requires advertising consent to be handled through a Google-certified consent management platform. FAFO Kitchen's Analytics Settings do not replace that advertising consent process. Depending on the available consent signals and location, Google may serve personalized, non-personalized, or limited ads.

You can review Google's advertising controls through Google Ads Settings and learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services through Google's partner-sites privacy information. You can also opt out of Google Analytics tracking using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

How Information Is Processed

Newsletter addresses submitted through the current subscription form are stored by the site's own subscription endpoint. Separately, providers used for hosting, analytics, advertising, and site security may process technical or usage information as part of operating those services.

Optional Recipe Box Sync

Recipe Box works without an account and stores saves, cooking statuses, custom collections, recent recipes, and grocery-list items in your browser by default.

If you turn on optional Recipe Box Sync, your browser encrypts that Recipe Box data before it is uploaded. FAFO Kitchen stores the encrypted copy, a random sync identifier, an authentication verifier, revision information, and the time of the latest sync. We do not require an email address or password for Recipe Box Sync, and the server is not designed to read the encrypted Recipe Box contents.

Your Sync Key is required to decrypt and connect the synced Recipe Box on another device. Treat it like a password. FAFO Kitchen cannot recover a lost Sync Key. You can stop syncing a device without deleting its local Recipe Box, or delete the encrypted cloud copy from the Recipe Box Sync controls.

Data Security

We use technical safeguards intended to protect information submitted through the site, including keeping subscriber records out of ordinary public web access. No website, server, transmission method, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Your Choices

You may browse the site without joining the newsletter. If you subscribed and want your email address removed from the subscriber list, send a request through our contact page. Depending on where you live, applicable law may provide additional rights regarding personal information.

Children's Privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
